Development of FridayBuilds started on March 2023. The first usable proof of concept was ready in just three months (no agents back then)! Three and a half years, one brand redesign, two complete system architecture redesigns and 3061 commits (~300k lines of code) later, here we are!
When development started the goal was to reach a point where the platform has the same capabilities as self-hosting the app on a VPS, if not more. Such capabilities include:

- backup (including off-site S3 destinations) and restore flows
- live app & deployment logs
- live cpu/memory/network monitoring

- app lifecycle and environment management
- GitHub integration and automated deployments

- High Availability system
- dedicated infrastructure
We have finally reached that point and have already started migrating other production projects we have into FridayBuilds and we are actually seeing ~30-40% better performance (on our lightest hardware) as well, under the same application configurations.
We are now making polishing passes, finishing up legal/accounting procedures and are on track to leave beta before 2026 ends! An exciting season lies ahead and we hope you'll be part of it!
